Survey Team of Ministry of Transport Visited CRIntermodal Qinzhou Terminal

On the morning of June 24, a team from the Ministry of Transport (MOT), led by Wang Zhiqing, member of the CPC Committee of MOT and Vice Minister, visited CRIntermodal Qinzhou Terminal, on a survey trip of the construction of new land-sea channel in western China and the development of container sea-rail combined transportation, accompanied by Fei Zhirong, Vice Chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Government, and Xu Yongke, Secretary of the CPC Qinzhou Committee.
In the exhibition hall of CRIntermodal Qinzhou Terminal, Wang Zhiqing, Vice Minister of MOT, watched a video introducing the new land-sea channel in western China with great interest and heard a brief report on construction planning, operation and development of CRIntermodal Qinzhou Terminal and its important position and role for the new land-sea channel in western China. He also inquired in detail about ideas on promoting joint development of CRIntermodal Qinzhou Terminal and ports to realize development with “connected facility, integrated operation and mutual information exchange”.
The Vice Minister acknowledged CRIntermodal Qinzhou Terminal’s remarkable achievements in construction speed, operation effect and promoting economic efficiency and its important role in the construction of container sea-rail combined transportation of new land-sea channel in western China. Vice Minister Wang Zhiqing also expressed support and expectation for the planning of the second phase construction of the terminal. When learning that 6 automatic gantry crane with remote control function would be put into use in short term, the Vice Minister appreciated CRIntermodal Qinzhou Terminal for leading the construction of intelligent railway container terminal.
The visit was also accompanied by official leaders from the Department of Transportation of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, CPC Qinzhou Committee, Qinzhou Municipal Government, Qinzhou Municipal Transportation Bureau, etc..
