Wang Dezhan, GM of CRIntermodal, Met Delegation Led by Ding Rui, Chairman of Lianyungang Port

On the morning of October 15th, Wang Dezhan, GM of CRIntermodal, received a delegation from Lianyungang Port Group Holdings, Co. Ltd. (referred to as “Lianyungang Port” hereafter) which was led by Ding Rui, Secretary of CPC Party Committee of and Chairman of Board of Lianyungang Port and Sun Zhonghua, Vice President of Lianyungang Port. The two sides had in-depth communication on the port railway container terminal project. Miao Feng and Kang Wenhui, Deputy GM and Board Secretary of CRIntermodal respectively, attended the meeting.
Wang welcomed the delegation led by Chairman Ding. He remarked that CRIntermodal terminals are important hubs of the transportation system of China Railway and hoped the Lianyungang Terminal Project be landed and play its role satisfying the overall plan of China Railway.
Ding expressed his appreciation for the support by China Railway, CRCT and CRIntermodal and hoped CRIntermodal give full play to its advantages and help accelerate the facilitation of Lianyungang Terminal Project and work together to achieve mutual development as soon as possible.
It is reported that Lianyungang, as the eastern end of the Continental Bridge Corridor, is one of the 11 international hub harbor planned by the country, the capacity level of which will be upgraded in the 14th Five-Year Plan period. With the strategic opportunities brought by Jiangsu coastal development, National East-West-Central Cooperation Demonstration Zone, Yangtze River Delta integration, and national innovative pilot city，etc., guided by the port planning concept of "one body with two wings", Lianyungang Port, aiming at becoming a regional international hub port and trunk port for container transport, is speeding up its steps towards an important comprehensive transportation hub in China, the most convenient access to the sea and the opening window along the Longhai Lanxin Route, an important international transportation hub between Asia and Europe, and the eastern bridgehead of the new Eurasian land bridge with significant radiation range.
Heads of Strategic Investment Department, Container Business Department and Beijing Office of Lianyungang Port and heads of Enterprise Management and Legal Affairs Department, Business Management Department, Planning and Finance Department and Administration Department of CRIntermodal also attended the meeting.
