The First China-Laos International Freight Train(Vientiane-Kunming) Arrived at CRIntermodal Kunming

The first China-Laos international freight train (Vientiane-Kunming) arrived at CRIntermodal Kunming Terminal in the evening of December 5th, after a total journey of 1,035 km from Vientiane of Laos started on December 3rd. The international freight train, carrying 52 containers with about 1,237 tons of goods worth 10 million RMB, was received at 11:00 am, December 6th. A ceremony was held in Kunming Terminal for receiving rubber goods transported via the first China-Laos international railway (Vientiane-Kunming). The ceremony, organized by Yunnan State Farms Group Co., Ltd., was cooperated by Yunnan Commerce Group Co., Ltd., China Railway Kunming Bureau Group Kunming East Station, Yunnan Communication and Transportation Association, Yunnan International Block Train Service and Trade Co., Ltd., Yunnan Alternative Planting Development Co., Ltd., Yunnan Natural Rubber Industry Group Co., Ltd., CRCT Kunming Branch and CRIntermodal Kunming Branch. The China-Laos international freight train was operated in dual directions, fully utilizing Kunming Terminal’s advantages, which significantly improved the influence of the terminal in all respects, laying foundation for building the terminal into a regional hub of international freight block trains and promoting quality development of the Terminal.
