CR Express (Zhengzhou) Departed On Time Despite Heavy Snow

A snow storm struck Zhengzhou in recent days. At 1:56am on January 23, a CR Express (Zhengzhou) train, fully loaded with 50 railway cars of daily necessities and industrial machinery parts, which was bound for Hamburg of Germany thousands of miles away, departed from CRIntermodal Zhengzhou Terminal on time amid the heavy snow and would cross the boarder at Horgos Port.
In order to deal with the heavy snowstorm, CRIntermodal Zhengzhou Terminal, viewing the "snow storm" as command, immediately activated the snow-removal and ice-breaking emergency plan, strictly implemented the transportation organization under bad weather, with management personnel put on duty. Meanwhile, the terminal strengthened communication and coordination with China Railway Zhengzhou Bureau Group Co., Ltd. and junction station, going all out to ensure smooth transport operation and container and railway wagon supply.
CRIntermodal Zhengzhou Terminal also strengthened safety control under snowstorm and organization of loading and unloading operations, in an effort to ensure safe and smooth operation of CR Express (Zhengzhou). Measures such as cleaning and applying antifreezing agent for track switches, cleaning of container car platforms, supervising loading and unloading operations amid the snow storm, strengthening checking and inspection at key locations and equipment including that are easy to accumulate snow and ice, etc., were taken so as to ensure smooth operation.
According to Gong Yundan, dispatcher of CRIntermodal Zhengzhou Terminal, through taking multiple measures against snow storm, safe and smooth operation was achieved by the terminal which operated 14 CR Express (Zhengzhou) trains or 624 train cars, including 5 outbound trains and 9 return trains despite the heavy snowstorm during October 21 to 23.
